Today June 1st I sit in a beautiful New York State Park called Letchworth. Although I should have been on the water today when I woke up I wasn’t feeling great. I had an infusion of rituxan on Thursday all day and this camping trip had been scheduled before the infusions were scheduled so I kept my word to be here.
The thing about these infusions of this B cell killing drug is that it doesn’t really start to affect me until two three four days later. And I’m not really sick it just don’t feel good. So I laid down and my friends went to check out the temperature of the water and I slept until 1 in the afternoon. Thus I missed the launch.
It’s okay, I know it would have completely exhausted me this year so instead I’m riding around on my bike, taking pictures, and enjoying the warm weather.
Letchworth State Park is a beautiful place to visit. The cabins are clean and little neon worms appear from nowhere.
I start my journey this month so I’m hoping you will enjoy the ride with me!
